Peter Anthony Walsh passed away peacefully on April 8, at his home in Abington, Ma surrounded by loved ones.
He was born in Galway Ireland, son of Patrick and Sabina Walsh. In 1950 he moved to the United States and shortly after joined the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean War. In 1954, he was honorably discharged from the Air Force and became a US Citizen. He settled in Massachusetts and worked at both Raytheon and General Instrument for many years.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Una to whom he was married for 58 years. He leaves behind a sister Margaret, two daughters: Joann, Dorothy, three sons: Kenneth, Desmond and James. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Erin, Jerod, Tess, Caitlynn, William and Mathew.
Peter was a devoted husband, a constant father and a selfless provider to his wife and children. He was a dedicated soul who persevered quietly yet relentlessly to provide a better life for his family. He did not fail us.
On April 26, at 8:30AM, relatives and friends are invited to meet at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel for a procession to the Funeral Mass at Saint Bridget Church in Abington, MA, scheduled for 9:00AM on April 26, followed by Veterans salute, and then a celebration of Peter’s life at Emerald Hall, 30 Central St., Abington, MA.
