Donald "Donnie" Edwin Pennington, 74, of Tifton passed away Friday, March 8, 2019, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2019, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with military honors. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Born November 2, 1944 in Ocilla, Mr. Pennington was the son of the late Edwin Clark Pennington and Mildred Goodwin Pennington. He was retired and he was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Mr. Pennington is survived by his wife, Alice Pittman Pennington of Tifton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Lindsay Pennington of Powder Springs and David and Cammie Pennington of Williamson; one brother, Al Pennington of Roanoke, Virginia; one sister, Nancy Pennington of Roanoke, Virginia; a niece, Leah Funk; a nephew, John Funk; and ten grandchildren, Abigail Pennington, Reece Pennington, Hope Pennington, Brett Pennington, Kodi Pennington, Luke Pennington, Grayson Pennington, Brady Pennington, Landon Jones and Brooks Jones.
