Obituary

Flonnie Bell Hancock Warren, 87, of Tifton passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2019, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Mark Stone officiating. Ms. Warren will be laid to rest at Enigma Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.

Born August 27, 1931 in Berrien County, Ms. Warren was the daughter of the late James Shelley Hancock and Susie Welch Hancock. She was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Glen Hancock, J. S. “Bud” Hancock, Clifford Hancock, Junior Hancock, Chester Hancock, Raiford Hancock and Hayward Hancock; and three sisters, Bessie Lee Eubanks, Millie O’Neal and Janie Mae Davis. Before retiring, she worked at Fitzgerald Underwear and she was a member of Enigma Congregational Christian Church.

Ms. Warren was a woman of deep faith. She was a wonderful mother. She valued her God and her family above all else. Her two boys were the light of her life. She was a fine cook and was well-known for her coconut cake. She received great joy from cooking for others and was happiest cooking for a crowd of friends and family. She enjoyed growing flowers and plants; and was talented at making flower arrangements. She was skilled at hand sewing and made many aprons, bag savers and tote bags of varying sizes for friends and family.

Ms. Warren is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert and Kim Giddens of Tifton and James Giddens of Enigma; one sister, Christine Gray of Tifton; three grandchildren and their spouses, Zane and Cynthia Giddens, Amy and Adam Wright and Chassity Nichols; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Ms. Warren’s care-givers; Hospice of Tift Area; and the staff of the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia for their special, loving care of Ms. Warren.
