Shirley D. (DeCosta) Manchester, 83, of Westport died Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Hathaway Manor Extended Care Facility, New Bedford after a long illness. She was the wife of Raymond E. Manchester.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Angelo and Alice (Silva) DeCosta, she had lived in Westport for the past 54 years. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Shirley was an avid league bowler and enjoyed playing bingo.
Including her husband, she is survived by 2 sons: Glen A. Manchester and his companion Lisa Costa of Westport and Wayne H. Manchester and his companion Brenda Andre of Westport; 2 daughters: Candace L. O'Keefe and her husband Dean of W. Newbury, MA and Paula A. Lublin and her husband Leonard of Concord, MA; 7 grandchildren: Aaron, Andrew, Siobhan, Allison, Ava, Seamus and Bryce; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
She was sister of the late Robert DeCosta.

Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport at 11 A.M.
