Edward J. “Eddie” Saravo 81, died Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Brookside Rehabilitation Center after a short period of declining health.
He was born October 13, 1937 in Fall River, son of the late Alphonse and Lillian (Kessell) Saravo , then moved to Webster and graduated from Bartlett High School.
He lived most of his adult life in Dudley on West Main Street until his last three years when he moved to Christopher Heights Assisted Living in Webster. Eddie made many new friends and was elected to the position of President of the Resident Council. He received his Associates degree from Dean College in Franklin and also was a U. S. Army Veteran.
Eddie worked his entire career, 39 years, at the former Cranston Print Works in Webster. He also worked as a barber for 18 years at Pee Wee’s Barber Shop.
He is survived by his three children, Keith Saravo and his wife Stacy of Natick, Dina Mallozzi and her husband Paul of Cranston, R.I. and Jay Saravo of Dudley. He also leaves four grandsons, Evan and Charles Saravo and Corey and Ryan Mallozzi.
Eddie was a charter member of the Dudley Lions Club, loved to frequent Foxwoods Casino, was a huge sports fan, and had extreme love for his children and grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at the ROBERT J. MILLER FUNERAL HOME and LAKE CHAPEL, 366 School St., Webster on Monday, February 11, 2019 from 10-11 AM followed by a Service at 11 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
