Obituary

Bernard Edwin Dvorak passed away peacefully on February 5, 2019 with his children and grandchildren by his side. Raised in Baltimore on Luzerne Avenue, he attended St. Andrew's school and then Loyola High School while earning his Eagle Scout designation. Upon graduation, he joined the navy and served on the USS Randolph as a radar technician in the Korean War. He then attended Johns Hopkins business school where he met his beloved Penny at a nursing school mixer. An entrepreneur his entire life, he founded several businesses, beginning with a TV repair shop to eventually establishing the largest auto accessory firm on the East coast. He loved cooking, talking politics, creating village and train displays, cheering on all the Baltimore sports teams, and most of all entertaining his family and friends.

Bernie is preceded in death by his cherished wife Penny and his dear grandson Sebastian. He is survived by his children and grandchildren: Bernie, Jr. and Juanita, and their sons Gene, Samuel, and Michael; Ann Marie; David and Lisa, and their children Shelby, Matilda, Peter, and Augustine.

Friends may call at The Johnson-Fosbrink Funeral Home, P.A., at 8521 Loch Raven Boulevard in Towson, MD 21286 on Wednesday, February 13 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Prayer Service will be held Wednesday at 7:30 P.M. A funeral Mass will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Thursday, February 14 at 11 am. Internment immediately following services at Gardens of Faith Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Sebass Foundation, http://www.sebassfoundation.org/.
