Claudia L. (Hyder) Palladini 82, of Franklin, died Wednesday February 6, 2019 at Milford Regional Medical Center following an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence J. “Larry” Palladini, who died in 2000.
Born June 17, 1936 in Washington, DC, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Eleanor G. (Hill) Hyder, she was a longtime resident of Franklin.
She was raised in Washington, DC and Arlington Heights, MA where she attended school and was a graduate of St. Anne’s High School. Claudia was a homemaker, who devoted all of her time to her family.
She enjoyed knitting, reading and word searches. Always doing for her family, she made slippers for them along with her famous fried dough and muffins.
Claudia is survived by her children, Sharon D’Orazio and her fiancé Stephen Albuit of Wrentham, Sherrill Gavel and her fiancé Kevin Nye of Milford, Martha Guerrieo and her husband Anthony of Malden, Daniel Gavel and his wife Lori of Westford, Michael Gavel and his wife Terri of North Attleboro, David Gavel of Franklin, Dana Gavel and his fiancé Kimberly Harrington of Franklin, Lawrence Palladini and his wife Bonnie of Franklin, Gregory Palladini of Franklin, 3 brothers, William, Russell and Charles Hyder, 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Eric P. Gavel, Charles D. Gavel and Mark A. Gavel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday Feb. 11th at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral service in St. John’s Episcopal Church, 237 Pleasant St. Franklin at 10AM.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin.
