CHICOPEE ~ Verber Lee “Boe” Ealum, Jr., 59, of Chicopee, was called safely home on Sunday, February 3, 2019. He passed into eternal life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Limestone, Maine on June 21, 1959, a beloved son of the late Verber Lee Ealum and Bertha Louise (Nelson) Ealum. His father served as a career United States Air Force Veteran and he moved throughout the United States and France with his family. In 1972, his father was stationed at Westover Air Force Base in Chicopee. He graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School in 1977 and later attended Springfield Technical Community College. Verber was employed as a journeyman electrician and worked for Metras Electrical Contractors and Northup Electrical Contractors. He was later self-employed and ran his own business. Verber was a devout Christian and a member and Elder at Our Father’s House in Chicopee. He leaves his beloved wife and soul mate of over 32 years, Lisa C. (Bass) Ealum; his three loving daughters, Vanessa L. Ealum and her fiancé, Daniel Cave, of Chicopee, and Victoria L. Ealum and Violet L. Ealum, both of Chicopee; his two dear sisters, Pernecia Ealum-Rief and Quinna Crosler; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends and extended members of the Ealum and Bass families. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his dear brother, Leon Keye. His family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. at Our Father’s House, 938 Chicopee Street, Chicopee, MA 01013.
