Obituary

Whitman – Amy J. Winsor 38, a lifelong resident of Whitman, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday January 27.

Amy was a graduate of UMass Amherst with honors in 2002 earning a degree in economics. Always the scholar, she was well on her way to law school, with dreams of becoming a judge, when she suffered a near fatal car accident that same year, leaving her severely injured.

She pursued her recovery, like everything in her life, with true passion and a sense of humor. Always positive, Amy chose to see the good in every person and situation she encountered, much like her beloved step-dad the late Michel Dubbe with whom she had spent a lot of time and shared a special bond. There is great comfort in knowing they are joined again in peace.

Amy is survived by her parents Linda N. Winsor of Whitman and Jon C. Winsor of Hudson, her sister Michelle Winsor of Whitman and her fiancé Mike Deluca and her nephew Tyler Deluca.

Her funeral service will be held Tuesday February 5 at 10:00 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman. By request of the family all other services are omitted.
