TEWKSBURY - Mrs. Linda E. (Salerno) Cogswell, 62, passed away Friday, January 11th at Tufts Medical Center in Boston with her family by her side.

Daughter of the late John and Mary (Brennick) Salerno, Linda was born on October 4, 1956 in Somerville, Massachusetts. She attended school at St. Williams School and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School. Later in life she attended classes at Middlesex Community College, studying accounting. She was employed at Tewksbury State Hospital for close to 30 years, working in accounting and medical billing.

For the past few summers, Linda enjoyed camping (or glamping, as she called it) with friends and relatives at Country Shore Campground in Kingston, NH. Over the years she enjoyed winter vacations to Nordic Village with her friends, cruising with family and friends around the Caribbean and visits to Wells Beach, Maine. Linda was a devoted fan of the Red Sox, rarely missing a game. Above all else she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Donald Cogswell; her daughter, Jessica Cogswell and her husband, Craig Anderson; a son, Jonathan Cogswell; a grandson, Maxwell Anderson; two sisters, Hedgie Brown and her husband Kenneth, Catherine Salerno and her wife Betty Ford; two brothers, John Salerno and his wife Judi, Michael Salerno and his wife Jodi; a sister-in-law, Wendy Cogswell; a nephew, Brendan Salerno; a niece, Melissa Salerno; her beloved aunt Hedgie Hamilton; and her cousin Barbara Cavanaugh.

A celebration of life for Linda will take place on January 27, 2019 at 11 AM, at the Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks located at 777 South Street Tewksbury, MA 01876. Friends and relatives are welcome to attend and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to The Jimmy Fund in memory of Linda via www.jimmyfund.org/gift.
