LEICESTER: Jennie (Cooper) Champagne passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on Friday, January 11, 2019.
She was born on April 7,1930 to William and Jennie Cooper. She worked for many years at Holden Plastics until her retirement in 1992. She was a happy and vibrant lady who always enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She leaves behind her sons Leonel E. Champagne and his wife Maryanne of Portsmouth, RI and Robert B. Champagne and his wife Sheila of Leicester.
She also leaves her siblings Virginia Wiesman, Dorothy Lam, and Wayne Cooper. Her grandchildren, Lisa Lynch, Mark Champagne and his wife Amanda, Isabelle Champagne, Emily Beaudry and her husband Mark, Matthew Champagne and his wife Kristie, and Joanna Ahearn and her husband Michael, her husband Paul Lessard, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Leonel E. Champagne in 1973 and her siblings Lorraine Brunett and George Cooper.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday January 16, from 10-11 a.m. with a prayer service at 11 a.m. in the Morin Funeral Home, 1131 Main St., Leicester.
Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Webster, MA.
