Francis G. "Frank" Milne III, 81, of Hollis, NH, passed away on Sunday January 13, 2019, surrounded by his loving family in the Fairview Nursing Home, Hudson, NH. He was born in Boston, MA on May 11, 1937, a son of the late Francis and Mary (Fitzpatrick) Milne. Francis was raised in West Roxbury, MA before spending one year in Derry then enlisting in the US Navy. He spent most of the rest of his life living in Londonderry. He worked as a carpenter and owner of Can-Do Construction, specializing in finish work, home building, and swimming pools. Frank and his father built the family home, where his family resided for 50 years. He also worked as a truck driver with Aggregate industries and was a member of Teamster Local 633. He was an avid fish owner, who loved tropical fish, devoted football fan, gardener, and dog owner. His most precious moments were spent with family on vacation.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Jean (Bonnar) Milne of Hollis; two daughters, Janice DeCarteret and husband Edward of Nashua, NH, and Heather Faucher and her husband Chris of Auburn, NH; a son, Francis Milne IV and his wife Shari of Bow, NH; eight grandchildren, Andrew, Aaron, Alyssa, Madison, Kyle, Dominique, Nicolas and Jacquelyn; one sister, Naomi Allen and husband Powell of E. Derry, NH; as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Barbara DiVirgilio.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 4 - 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A funeral service was held at 6:30pm in the funeral home with cremation to follow. Spring interment of his cremated remains will be at Pillsbury Cemetery in Londonderry.
