Obituary

Lorenzo Cipollone passed away peacefully on Saturday evening. He was 102. Born and raised in Orsogna, Italy, Lorenzo served with the Italian army during World War II and saw combat on the Russian front. He came with his family to the United States in 1958, living in Boston’s North End before settling in Medford. He worked as a construction laborer and also worked at the famed Dragone Cheese Co. in Medford and later worked as a meat cutter. He was devoted to his family and friends.

The beloved husband of the late Maria (Iocco) Cipollone who passed away in 2010, he was a devoted father to Luciano Cipollone and his wife Debra of Medford, Rocco Cipollone of Medford and Filippo Cipollone of Chelsea. He also leaves 5 loving grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 16 at 11 AM in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, with the Reverend Father J. Keville officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend and may visit with the family for the hour prior to services.
