Helen C. (Hutchinson) Mucciarone in her 93rd year died at home peacefully, with her family at her side, Friday, January 11, 2019. She was the wife of the late Esto W. Mucciarone, who died in 1984.
Born October 18, 1925 in Milford, MA, the daughter of the late Percy H. and Helen M. (Boulanger) Hutchinson. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin.
Helen (a.k.a. Little Helen) was raised and educated in Franklin and graduated Franklin High in 1943. Helen worked as a seamstress at the Franklin Mill Store and ran a custom drapery workroom for many years.
She is survived by her children, Edward W. Mucciarone and his wife Joy of Phoenix, AZ, Mrs. Brian (Susan R.) Shortt of Franklin, Judith A. Mucciarone of Franklin, and Ann F. Ahnert and her husband David of Bellingham, MA, and a sister, Joan A. Bertone of Orlando, FL.
Helen is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Evan, Tara Joy, Mark, Lee, Anthony, Audrey, David and 5 great grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late James P. Hutchinson of Orlando, FL.
Helen is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Helen was a member of St. Mary’s Parish.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved working with her hands. Most often you could find her in her garden or in her kitchen, but her happiest moments were times spent with her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Tuesday, January 15, at 9 AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Church Sq. Franklin at 10 AM.
Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
