Mary H. (Medeiros) Mainville, 92, of New Bedford died January 10, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Arthur B. Roderick and Ernest Mainville.
Born in Acushnet, daughter of the late Camille and Laurinda (Pacheco) Medeiros, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
She took great joy in raising her children, grandchildren and many children of the community.
She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Steven Medeiros and his wife Nadeen of Wareham and Arthur Roderick and his wife Lisa of New Bedford; 5 daughters, Linda Pina, Joanne Lemieux, Yvonne Roderick, Mona Lisa Roderick and Patricia Martin and her husband Troy, all of New Bedford; 2 sisters, Beatrice Souza and Marjorie Mello, both of Florida; 25 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 7 brothers and 3 sisters.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday, January 14th at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Fairhaven at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, January 13th from 4-8 PM.
