Barbara (Russell) Byerly, 77, of Hudson, NH, went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2019 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Revere, MA on May 19, 1941, a daughter of Henry and Gwendolyn Russell.
Raised in Revere, she was married to her husband, Stanley Byerly for 49 years until his passing in 2015. She lived her adult life in New England including MA, NH and RI where she was a member of various Baptist churches. Prior to her marriage she worked at Bell Telephone Company and Jordan Marsh.
Like many of her generation, she became a homemaker, supporting her husband and raising her three children, Pamela, Scott and Michael. When they were grown, she returned to work at CVS.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Pamela Byerly of Manchester, NH; her sons, Scott Byerly and his wife Lisa of Salem, NH and Michael Byerly and his wife Terri of Londonderry, NH; her sister Millicent DiBartolomeo and her husband Anthony of Peabody, MA; her brother Charles "Freddy" Russell of Winthrop; her grandchildren Faith, Benjamin, Meredith and Ethan; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father in 1975; her mother in 2001; her sister Joan (Russell) Armstrong; and her brothers Henry Russell and Lawrence Russell.
Funeral services were held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 11:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. Committal services followed in the New Plains Cemetery, Windham, NH. Calling hours preceded the funeral services from 10am to 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
