Obituary

WEBSTER – Gloria H. (Lavallee) Yamiolkowski, 91, died Thursday, January 10, 2019 in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge, with family at her side. Her husband of 44 years, Theodore J. Yamiolkowski, died in 1992.

She leaves two sons, Richard S. Yamiolkowski and his wife Christine of Tiverton, RI, and David A. Yamiolkowski with whom she lived; a daughter, Gail A. Yamiolkowski and her husband John A. Pellegrino of Spencer; a grandson, Aaron M. Przelomski; two great-grandchildren, Kassandra and Joey; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was born on November 12, 1927 in Ware, the daughter of Alexander and Veronica (Triba) Szewczyk and lived in Webster since her childhood. She went to school at the Little Red Schoolhouse and was a member of its last class in 1934. She later attended Bartlett High School.

Mrs. Yamiolkowski worked as an upholsterer at Ethan Allen Company in Dudley, retiring in 1992. She was also a licensed hairdresser.

She was communicant of Saint Joseph Basilica. Her life was devoted to her family.

The funeral will be held Monday, January 14, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Visiting hours will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, January 13, in the funeral home. Donations in her memory may be made to either Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA 01570 or to Harrington Memorial Hospital, 100 South Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.
