Obituary

George W. Lallier, 55, of Woonsocket died Tuesday January 8, 2019 at home.
Born in Providence he was the son of the late Ronald G. Lallier and the late Constance B. (Lapierre) Choiniere Lallier. George was also the son of the late George A. Choiniere who passed away in 1969.
He was raised in Cumberland and resided in the Shelbyville, Tennessee, Ormond Beach, Florida and Norfolk Virginia areas for a number of years before returning to the Northern Rhode Island area several years ago.
Skilled with his hands “Georgie”, as he was known to family and friends, worked mostly in the construction, carpentry and roofing trades. He also worked as a professional truck driver for a several years, an occupation that gave him the opportunity to see much of the country.
Quite simply put, music was the heart and soul of George’s life. He was a naturally talented musician and exhibited that gift as a composer and song writer. George loved many different genres of music; however, by far and away, his life really moved to the unforgettable sounds of The Beatles.
George was devoted to his family and especially his sister Marie. Theirs was an unbreakable bond of love and friendship between a brother and sister that will last forever.
While George left this life way to soon he put his faith and trust in the Lord. George walked the path of life, with its many twists and turns, some good and some not so good, aided by his trademark positive outlook on life and knowing that whatever came his way, George could just “let it be….let it be”.
George was one of the most caring and genuine people you were blessed to have met. A person who had love for EVERYONE with no conditions. A note from him made you heart smile because you knew that whatever he said it came from his kind and gentle soul. He wanted PEACE for everyone.
George is survived by his sister Marie C. Lynch and her fiancé Michael Maritnelli of Mapleville. He is also survived by his godmother Jeanne Bastien of Woonsocket, his first cousins Gerard Bastien of Woonsocket and Michelle Ward of Pascoag and Paulette Quinn of Providence and several other cousins and extended family and friends.
