Joao Lima (80) of Brockton died January 7th in the Seasons Hospice, Milton. He was the husband of Maria Silva.
He was born in Calheta, Maio, Cabo Verde son of the late Maria DoRosario Lima. He was a construction worker by trade. Joao was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church and was a devoted catholic.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 6 sons, Albertino, Francisco, Jose, Emiliano, Estanislau and Ilidio, 5 daughters, Jacinta, Isidora, Maria Rosario, Maria Marilia and Nelida, many grand and great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.
Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Friday January 11th at 8 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church 71 E Main Street Brockton at 9 am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation in the Funeral Home Thursday January 10th from 5-8 pm.
