WOBURN-Miguel Angel Rodriguez Valdez Age 82, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 5, 2019, surrounded by his loving family after years of declining health.
Born and raised in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, Miguel was a long time resident of Woburn, MA where he lived with his beloved daughter Sandra Del Cid and her husband Jose Luis as well as daughter Ana Rivera and husband David. He was also closely surrounded by other beloved family members.
Miguel is survived by his loving wife Consuelo and 5 other children, Alma Lili Rodriguez, Miriam Rios, husband Mario, Glenda Ochoa, husband Edwin, Jaquelin Ruiz, husband Melvin, and Miguel Angel Rodriguez, wife Elizabeth. Grandchildren Maribel (Del Cid), Astrid Rios, Maria “Andrea” (Rivera) Rodriguez, Julio Ibarra, David Rivera, Jackelin (Rios) Ardon, Axel Del Cid, Kiara Ochoa, Mateo Rodriguez, Keyla Ochoa, Marcos Rodriguez, Eliu Ruiz, Lisbeth Ruiz and great-grandchildren Joziah, Araziah and Isaac.
He owned his own successful auto dealership and repair shop in Guatemala before coming to the United States. After retirement he enjoyed working with his hands on arts and crafts projects, painting and making pinatas for his grandchildren’s birthdays. He was an active member at churches in Guatemala and then later in the Boston area. He enjoyed being involved in many church activities and always encouraged his family to seek God first.
