Stephen H. Bishop, Jr. 80 of Natick, and formerly of Sherborn, died Sunday January 6, 2019 at the Mary Ann Morse Nursing Home in Natick. He was the beloved husband of the late Charlene M (McInich) Bishop who died in 2004.
A Natick resident for 20 years he was born in Cambridge the son of the late Stephen H and Alice (Harris) Bishop. Mr. Bishop was a Stock Broker for Quick and Reilly Investors and later State Street Bank of Boston. He was involved in the Sherborn Community as a longtime member of the Sherborn Volunteer Fire Department and as an actor in the Sherborn Players Theatre Group. Mr. Bishop was a graduate of Northeastern University in Finance, and also attended Wentworth Institute and Boston University. He was a graduate of Kimball Union Academy and was a loyal supporter of the school as Class Agent and volunteer in numerous committees and fund raising campaigns.Mr Bishop was also Veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was devoted to his family, known in Sherborn and Natick as a true gentleman, good neighbor, kind and generous to all. He is survived by two sons Wayne C Bishop and his wife Danya Resnick of Whitinsville , Michael H Bishop, one brother James H Bishop of Wellesley, a niece Hope Bishop, and a nephew James H. Bishop.
His funeral service will take place on Saturday January 12 at 11:00 A.M. in the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common. Entombment at Newton Cemetery.
