Tarpey, Francis X. of Dedham, formerly of Brighton. January 6, 2019. Beloved husband of Maureen (McGuire) Tarpey. Devoted father of Laura Timmins and her husband Thomas of Dedham, Francis X. Tarpey Jr and his wife Dianne of Grafton, Kathleen Merrigan and her husband Michael of Walpole, Paul Tarpey and his wife Kathleen of Melrose and Lisa Sampson and her husband David of Waltham. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Brother of John of Virginia, James of Wakefield, Robert Tarpey of Braintree, the late Mary Mahoney, Eileen Woods, Thomas, Richard and Joseph Tarpey.
Francis was a Korean War Veteran, member of Brighton Knights of Columbus and Brighton Lodge of Elks.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St. DEDHAM on Thursday, January 10, at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anne Church, Readville at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-8pm. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
