Obituary

SPENCER: Christine M. (Cole) Ingalls, 50, of Spencer, died peacefully on Saturday morning, Jan. 5th in her home.
She leaves her husband of 16 years, David S. Ingalls, her daughter, Jackilyn Melanson of Martha's Vineyard, her parents Ronald E. and Carolyn S. (Kowalski) Cole of N. Ft. Myers, FL, her maternal grandmother, Genevieve Kowalski of E. Brookfield and N. Ft. Myers, brothers Ronald E. Cole, Jr., of E. Brookfield and Robert Cole of N. Brookfield, her sister Cynthia A. Cole of N. Brookfield, granddaughter Genevieve Melanson, and 5 nieces and 7 nephews.
Chris was born in Ware, and later graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer (Class of 1986), and, subsequently, the Rob Roy Academy in Worcester. She was a hairdresser, and co-owner, at Hair Quarters in Spencer prior to her illness. Larger than life, she was silly, warm, funny, and kind, and will leave a lasting emptiness in all that knew her. She liked the Bahamas, and the beach and the casino, and loved diamonds. But, most of all, she loved flowers.
The family would like to thank Dr Allison Hargreaves of Barre, Dr Tom LaCava of West Boylston, and Drs Tom & Jill Moorcroft of CT, for their knowledge and compassion, and the team at Overlook Visiting Nurses, particularly Donna Fimian, whose kindness and expert care carried the both of us for the last mile.
A celebration of Chris's life will be held at a future time, its place and date to be announced through her Facebook page. Flowers should be omitted (her cats will eat them), but memorial donations can be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter, P. O. Box 136, E.Brookfield, MA. 01515. J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, Spencer has been entrusted with her final arrangements.
