Obituary

Balda M. Gianetti 98, of Franklin, died peacefully, at Atria of Franklin, with family at her side, Sunday December 9, 2018, following a brief period of declining health.

Born August 6, 1920 in Franklin, a daughter of the late Pacifico and Emelia (Bertoni) Gianetti, she was a lifelong Franklin resident.

She was raised and educated in Franklin and was a 1938 graduate of Franklin High School. Balda worked as an assistant business manager for Dean College until her retirement. She also assisted with the operation of the family owned Gianetti’s U-Pick Blueberry Farm on Union Street in Franklin.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, baking, knitting, shopping, painting, gold leafing, and crafts.

Balda is survived by her brother, Ronald J. Gianetti and his wife Rita of Franklin and her nieces & nephews, Pamela Gianetti-Dwinell, Lee Gianetti, Susan Curren and Zeffro Gianetti and her great nieces and nephews, Julia, Justin, Joshua, and James Dwinell, Noelle, Liam, and Elise Curren, and Michael Gianetti.

She was the sister of the late Zeffro V. Gianetti & Gianetto Gianetti.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Friday Dec. 14th, at 10 AM in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Interment at Union Street Cemetery, Franklin will be held privately.

Calling hours are Thursday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
