TEWKSBURY - Mrs. Ruth Frances (Nardone) Kelley, age 68, died Tuesday, December 4, at her Tewksbury home, in the loving care of her family and hospice, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Ret. M.Sgt. Michael Lee Kelley, U.S. Army, with whom she had celebrated a forty-eight wedding anniversary this past September 19th.
She was born in Cambridge in September 1950, one of four daughters of the late Frank and Mary (Lima) Nardone, and raised in Somerville. She graduated from Somerville High School with the Class of 1968. After her marriage to Mike, she lived in Somerville and Wilmington before moving to Tewksbury in 2002, where she was a communicant of St. William's Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves two children, Michael Lee Kelley Jr. and his wife Kerry (Mitchell) of Tewksbury; and Genifa A. Kelley of Tewksbury; three grandchildren, Lily Kelley and twins Richard and Wyatt Kelley; two sisters, Beverly Botelho and her husband Thomas of Dracut, and Dolores Anselmo of Tewksbury; a brother-in-law, Ben Cubbage of FL who was husband of her sister, the late Cheryl Cubbage; many nieces, nephews and devoted friends; her beloved dog, Peaches; and was predeceased by her son, Richard J. Kelley in 2002.
Visiting hours Thursday, Dec. 6, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950. Her funeral will begin Friday, Dec. 7, at 9:30 from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 in St. William's Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury. Burial will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery.
