Henry J. Smith, 76, of Fitzgerald, died November 27, 2018, at Life Care Center in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held 11AM, Saturday, December 1, 2018, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends from 9 until 11, Saturday morning at the funeral home in Fitzgerald. Interment will follow in New Bethel Cemetery, in Ben Hill County.
Mr. Smith was born April 3, 1942, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Henry Smith and Lillie Mae Cumbess. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a mechanic for Pearson and Brothers Logging.
He is survived by a brother, Herman & Vera Smith of Alma; sister-in-law, Morning Smith of Douglas; Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers.
