Shirley A. (Holliday) Ward, 83, of Anderson, went to live in Our Father's house on November 25, 2018.
She was born July 10, 1935 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Eugene and Kathalyn (Brown) Holliday. She lived most of her life in Anderson, with brief periods in Indianapolis and Bradenton, FL.
She was a 1953 graduate of Walnut Grove High School, in Arcadia,
For 30 years, she worked for Anderson Community Schools spending most of her time at Greenbriar Elementary.
Shirley was a lifetime member of Central Christian Church in Anderson. Shirley was Grand President of Omega Nu Tau Sorority and Honor Queen for Job's Daughters.
Survivors include her daughters, Tamara S. Ward (Dewey) Bair and Jane A. (Will) Perry of Anderson, daughter-in-law, Cynthia Ward; six grandchildren, Amy (Todd) Snyder, Stacey (Mike) Jones, Devin Ward, Michael (Breanne) Porter, Matthew (Nancy) Porter, Bethany (Ryan) Kavich; great grandchildren, Blake, Maggie, Sebastian, Kiara, Amanda, Ryley, Kayla, Caidence, Devin II, Katy, Norah, Mikey, Rachael, Holden, Munro, and Amelia; granddaughter-in-law, Ashley Ward; sisters, Judith (Bob) Hare and Billie Jean Baldwin; several nieces and nephews; extended family, Darlene Perry, Brenda Hull, Towanda Perry and the rest of the Perry family also Jacinda Porter.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Dick" Ward in 2007, son, Richard "Rick" II in 1997, daughter, Lynda in 1977; her parents and her step-mother who helped raise her, Vivian Holliday and her brother Steven Holliday.

Service will be at Noon on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rick Vale officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association, Southern Care Hospice or Central Christian Church.
