Obituary

Ted Hammond Jr., beloved family man and friend, 64, of Pembroke, Massachusetts died unexpectedly on November 12, 2018.

Born in Brockton, Massachusetts in 1954, he graduated from Whitman Hanson High School in 1972.

Ted went on to pursue a lifetime of work in the construction industry, and was best known for his detailed finish work. He was an avid member of the patriot movement, and loved fishing, gardening, and traveling. He was always willing to discuss his many views and enjoyed contributing his informed opinion to lively conversations. Teddy had the unique ability to make you feel heard and appreciated, and would stop his day to help anyone in need. He loved his family, friends and neighbors and was always willing to offer his time, a helping hand, and his extraordinary heart to anyone and everyone he knew. His laidback and easing going personality was enough to make anyone feel welcome, secure, and truly appreciated.

He is survived by his lifelong partner, Paula McDonough, her children and grandchildren, and his sister Terri Martin. Ted was the son of the late Theodore Hammond and Virginia Williamson, and brother of the late Tracie Decker. Survived by his nephew, Michael Decker and his wife Samantha of Braintree, niece Makaila Decker of Boston and brother in law, Brian Decker of Kingston, also by several aunts, uncles, cousins and especially by his best Bub, Ross Manison.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visiting hours on Friday November 16 from 3:00-5:00PM with a funeral service to follow at 5:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. All are welcome back to 35 Congress Street, Pembroke following the service.
