Paul Clifton Bickling, 94, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, November 8, 2018, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Monday, November 12, 2018, at Sandy Ridge Cemetery, in Ben Hill County. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, from 4 PM until 6 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Bickling was born November 5, 1924, in Clayton, Delaware, to the late James Calvin & Edith Lockwood Bickling. He worked for Southern States as a salesman and retired as a postmaster after 22 years of service. Mr. Bickling served his country honorably in the United States Army, during WWII. He served as a Gideon while living in Delaware and Maryland and also did mission work in Honduras building churches. Mr. Bickling was an Elder at Bowens Mill Christian Center in Ben Hill County.
He is survived by his daughter, Paula & Roy Riojas; grandchildren: Jeremy Paul Riojas & Shay of Ray City and Aaron Roy Riojas & Alena Lashley of Douglas and four great-grandchildren: Jacob Paul Riojas, Cole Buchanan Riojas, Lyndon Lashley and Zoe Joan Riojas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
