Obituary

James J. Halloran, of Abington, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018, at his home at the age of 76.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Irene; and daughters, Patricia and Eric LeBlanc of Easton, Marie and Mike Egli of Hingham, and Karen Meyer of Easton. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Andrew Meyer, Alyssa LeBlanc, Samantha Meyer, and Catherine Egli.

He was the son of the late Patrick J. and Bridget A. (Collins) Halloran. Brother of Kathleen Thornton, Regina Halloran, Maureen Hansbury, and Margaret Butler of Boston, and the late Anne Pendelton, Christine Hanlon, and Eileen Carr.

Jim was born May 30, 1942 in Boston. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and worked at Boston Edison for 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, sports, and was a follower of Jesus Christ.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Friday November 16th at 11:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Fund at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, 75 Francis St, Boston, MA 02115.
