Dennis R. Robitaille, 72, a lifelong resident of Derry, NH died Tuesday October 30, 2018 with his loving family by his side, at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Dennis was born in Derry on January 9, 1946, a son of the late Raymond and Merrylin (Lessard) Robitaille. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam era. Dennis worked at SMC Management for many years in maintenance. He was a very hard worker and was a man of many trades. Dennis was also an avid NASCAR fan, and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and going out to eat.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Barbara J. (Bryant) Robitaille of Derry, three children, Rhonda Robitaille ( and Ricky Mockabee) of Manchester, NH, Ed Robitaille and his wife Nicolle of Hooksett, NH, and Robbie Stephens ( and Kerrin McGuire) of Londonderry, NH, three grandchildren, Kayla Robitaille, Daniel Feudner and his wife Karisa, and Richard Hanson, two great-grandchildren, his siblings, Sandra Walton, Michael Robitaille, Cindy McFarland, and Darren Robitaille. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dennis was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Robitaille in 1988.
Following cremation, there was a celebration of life upstairs at the Halcyon Club in Derry on Saturday November 10, 2018 at 1:00pm. Burial with military honors was in the NH State Veteran’s Cemetery, Boscawen, NH on Tuesday, November 13th at 11:00am. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry assisted the family with arrangements.
