Obituary

Worcester: David A. Rawson of Worcester died suddenly at home on Sunday, October 28, 2018. He leaves behind his wife, S.J. Wolfe, of Worcester, his beloved cats Sammi, Max, and Spike; 5 sisters Anne, Linda, Barbara, Carol, and Mary; a brother Steven; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. His parents, Richard and Carolyn Rawson, as well as his younger brother Alan predeceased him.

David received a Ph.D. in History from the College of William and Mary in 1998, and taught at Western New England College, Salem State, Worcester State, Anna Maria, and WPI. He retired early to work on his research on early Virginia printing and publishing. This led him to be very involved with the Virginia Forum annual meetings. He was a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and was a research fellow and regular reader at the American Antiquarian Society. He also volunteered at Needy Cats No-Kill Shelter with his wife.
