TEWKSBURY: Florence G. (Chase) Austin, age 95, of Chelmsford, formerly of Tewksbury. Retired River Valley House and Tewksbury Hospital Nurses Aid, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford.
Beloved wife of the late Warren P. Austin, and daughter of the late William and Myrtle Chase. Mother of Warren P. Jr. and his wife Mary Jo of PA, David L. and his wife Linda of Tewksbury, and Gail R. Austin of Westford. Grandmother of David Austin and his wife Suzanne, John Austin and his wife Caitlin, Randall Austin and his wife Alicia, Scott Austin and his wife Michelle, and Laura Trendel and her husband Greg. Great grandmother of Robin, Katherine, Nicholas, Jake, Nicole, Ryan and Addie Austin, J. Patrick Osborne, Marin and Josh Trendel. Sister of the late Albert and Madeline Chase. She leaves several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Florence loved working in the flower garden, completing jigsaw puzzles, but most of all she loved being with her family. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunny Acres Nursing Home for the loving care received by Florence over the past 5 years.
Calling hours are Thursday, Oct. 25 from 7-9 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
