In Taunton, October 21, 2018 Mark Smith loving husband of the late Lorraine (Menard) Smith died at Morton Hospital at the age of 94. Born in Taunton, Mark was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (MacDonald) Smith. Mark was a graduate of Msgr Coyle High School class of 1942. After his graduation he enlisted in to the US Navy serving during WWII. He was a retired Meat Cutter of the former Fernandes Supermarket chain. He enjoyed Bowling, traveling with his wife and planning the Coyle High School class reunions. Mark was the father of Lorrie Mardo of Wareham and her late husband Joseph, Margie Sanford and her husband Richard of Taunton and Paula DeCouta and her husband William of Taunton. Grandfather of Christine Sierra and her husband Donald of Easton, Stephanie Consigli and her husband Ryan of Boston, Joseph Mardo and his wife Nadeen of Rochester, William, Rachel and Nicole DeCouta all of Taunton. Great grandfather of four. Brother of twin sister Louise Boffetti of Taunton, Mary Strojny of Vero Beach, FL and the late Ronald Smith, Thomas Smith and Thelma Elliott. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton Thursday, October 25th at 9 am. A Mass will be held at St Jude the Apostle Church in Taunton at 10 am. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5-8 pm. Interment Cedar Knoll Cemetery in East Taunton.
