Dartmouth – Jose Miguel Medeiros, age 82, of Dartmouth passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. He was the beloved husband of the late Hortense (Sousa) Medeiros and the son of the late Manuel and Maria Miguel.
Jose was born in St. Michael, Azores and moved to this area in 1967 where he had been self-employed as a landscaper.
He is survived by his 4 children, Victor Medeiros, Anna Silva, Esmerelda Reitz and David Medeiros; grandchildren, Danny Medeiros, Stacey Silva, Kyle Silva, Justin Medeiros, Ashley Medeiros, Abigail Medeiros and Luke Medeiros; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Silva, Dante Silva and Savannah Medeiros.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth for their special care.
Jose’s funeral will be held Tuesday morning, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church in Dartmouth at 10:00 A.M. All of those who wish to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
