Phyllis K. Magri, 78

Dateline: Norton, MA

Phyllis K. “Phyl” (Lannon) Magri, age 78, of Norton, formerly of Westwood, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She was the beloved wife of Charles P. Magri, to whom she was wed for fifty-six years.

Born in Boston, MA on November 19, 1939, she was a loving daughter of the late Joseph C. and Dorothy S. (Weatherby) Lannon.

Phyl grew up in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston and was a 1957 graduate of Roslindale High School. After starting her family, she returned to school and received her Associates Degree from Northeastern University.

A dedicated and loving homemaker to her adoring family, Phyl had made her home in Norton for the past nineteen years. She had formerly resided in Westwood where she was a communicant of St. Margaret Mary Church.

Phyl’s greatest comfort in life was her family, they were truly the focal point of her life. She took great pleasure in entertaining family and friends, pride in helping her husband in his many business ventures and will always be remembered for her love of animals, especially her cats and family memories created on Cape Cod.

In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her devoted children: Katie E. Baxter and her husband Michael of Falmouth and Charles A. Magri of Norton. She was the dear sister of Barbara Renken of New Hampshire and the late Thomas Lannon. She was the cherished grandmother of Anthony, Andrew and Chas, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 24th at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial arrangements will be announced.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, October 23rd from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
