Gilbert G. Tetreault, 87, of New Bedford died October 18, 2018 peacefully at Sacred Heart Home.
He was the husband of Corinne C. (Pigeon) Tetreault.
Born in Hinesburg, VT, son of the late Frank G. and Georgianna (Paquette) Tetreault, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.
Mr. Tetreault was formerly employed by Northeast Folding Box for many years until his retirement.
He enjoyed woodworking, breeding birds, fish aquariums, bowling and fishing with his nephew Thomas Cyr.
Mr. Tetreault served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; 4 sons, Michael Tetreault and his wife Debbie of Barrington, Marc Tetreault and his wife Dianne of New Bedford, David Tetreault of Dartmouth and Bruce Tetreault of North Carolina; 3 daughters, Carol Wieden and her husband Chris of Sandwich, Denise Tremblay of Fairhaven and Margaret Bell and her husband Wayne of North Carolina; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Thelma Gelineau, Cecile Cyr, Loretta Boucher and Theresa Richards.
Private arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
