Armand S. Furfaro, age 90, of Brockton, died October 17, 2018 at Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital. Armand spent his lifetime with his sweetheart of 60 years and the love of his life, the late Mabel M. (Jacobs) Furfaro. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, he was the son of the late Dominic and Carrie C. (Florio) Furfaro. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Armand was a Heavy Machinery mechanic for Caterpillar in Needham and retired as a mechanic from the Brockton Edison Company (National Grid) after 20 years. Armand was mechanically creative and enjoyed inventing problem-solvers and helping others with mechanical repairs. In his youth he enjoyed riding horses and later working on cars.
Armand was the father of Lisa A. Furfaro of Brockton and grandfather of Jason M. Lucier of Rhode Island. He is also survived by another daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. He was the brother of the late Frank F. Furfaro and Ann Nelson.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Monday, October 22, 9-11am followed by a funeral Service at 11am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
