Obituary


Portland- Thomas Douglas Morrill, AKA "Squeak", age 58, passed away at Maine General Hospital in Augusta after a long illness which required him to reside at Country Manor Nursing Home in Coopers Mills Maine.

He was born in Charleston, South Carolina on March 8, 1960 to John P. and Waneta L. Morrill. He attended Portland High School, spent 3 years serving his country in the Navy.

He was married to Sandra Jo Smith and although they later divorced, she was the love of his life.

He was employed as a carpet technician at Port City Flooring and at Nappi Distributors as the evening supervisor.

Before his illness, he enjoyed camping and hiking especially in the Mt. Katahdin area. He was on several winning Dart teams over the years. He was a member of the American Legion.

He was predeceased by his father John P. Morrill, his older brother, John P. Morrill II, a nephew, Randy Lee Good, both sets of grandparents, John P. & Anne Morrill, Washington J. & Jennie Norwood. Many aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his mother Waneta L. Morrill, 2 sisters, Jennie E. Morrill, Peggy Anne Morrill, a nephew Jason Morrill and a niece Joleene Morrill, a sister-in-law Katherine Morrill a great nephew mason Morrill and many, many cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at the VFW Deering Memorial Post 6859 on Forest Ave. in Portland Maine at 3pm on Sunday Nov. 25th 2018.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Greater Portland Animal Refuge League in Westbrook Maine. Burial will be at a later date at the ME Veterans Cemetery in Augusta, Maine.
