Obituary



Dorothy E. (Champ) Carrozza passed away Monday October 15, 2018 at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late James Carrozza and mother of the late James A. Carrozza.

Dorothy was born and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Anthony Champ and remained a lifelong resident of the city. She was a graduate of Brockton Business School and the Brockton Academy of Beauty Culture.
During WWII she enlisted in the US Navy and was a Yeoman stationed in Washington, DC working in the Pentagon processing family allotment cases.

Dorothy was a registered hairdresser and instructor and retired from the Brockton Academy after twenty years as an instructor and clinic supervisor. In her retirement she enjoyed playing golf, cooking, word games and playing cards.

Dorothy leaves many nieces and nephews including her caregivers Michael and Lorraine Carrozza. She was pre deceased by her siblings Salvator, Marian, Natalie and Joseph Champ.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (rte. 123) Brockton on Friday 9-11am followed by a funeral service. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Please consider a donation in Dorothy’s name to St. Vincent de Paul c/o Christ the King Church, 54 Lyman St., Brockton, MA 02302.
