John J. “Jack” Wild, Sr., 85, of Derry, NH, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH. He was born in Boston, MA on August 22, 1933, a son of William and Frances (Campbell) Wild. A resident of Derry since 2004, Jack formerly resided in Laconia, NH and Malden, MA. He was a US Army veteran. For many years, he was employed as a Police Officer with the City of Boston. Jack was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Joy C. Wild, four children, John Wild Jr., Paul Wild, Carol McCarthy, Norma Manning, three step children, Thomas Dumont, Kathryn Dumont, Jay Osper and numerous grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Norma (Leitiger) Wild, his children, William Wild and Jayne Kennedy and his brothers Robert Wild and William Wild.
Memorial services were held on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 2:30pm to 3:30pm in the living room at St. Theresa’s Manor, 519 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH 03104. Donations in Jack’s memory may be made to St. Theresa’s Manor. Peabody Funeral Homes of Derry is assisting with arrangements.
