Bonnie Turner, 75, of Fitzgerald, died Saturday October 13, 2018, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held 11AM, Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Jeff Parmer and the Rev. Danny Gay officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery in Wilcox County. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Ms. Turner was born March 10, 1943, in Wilcox County, Georgia to the late Ernest T. O’Neal and Inez Lois Lashley. She was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School Class of 1961. Ms. Turner worked at B.C Moores as well as being the manager of the Shoe Show in Fitzgerald. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and reading. She was a member of Crossview Baptist Church and was a regular attender. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.
She is survived by her children, John W. Turner & Shelia of Fitzgerald, Teresa & Carol Cato of Albany, Terry & Penny Turner of Fitzgerald, and Jason & Dixie Turner of Tifton; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Giddens of Tifton, Ruth & Gary Swieczkowski of Fitzgerald; brothers, Windell & Bonnie O’Neal of Irwinville, W.E. & Karen O’Neal of Ocilla; In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John O. Turner, Jr.; a son, Jeffery Glen Turner, Sr.; sister, Carolyn O’Neal and a brother, Elbert Charles “Bert” O’Neal.
