Obituary

Brian William Kelleher, 42, of Derry, NH, passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends on Thursday, October 11, 2018 after a courageous 10 year battle with cancer. He was born in Quincy, MA on March 12, 1976, the son of William Kelleher and Kathleen Walsh Bancroft. Brian was a graduate of Braintree High School, Braintree, MA. He later received his Bachelor’s Degree from Westfield State. He worked as an insurance consultant for Lincoln Financial Group in its Competitive Services Group. His greatest accomplishment was being a loving husband and father. His life revolved around his boys. Brian was an avid Boston sports fan, a “Sneakerhead” and loved music, movies and comic books. He was loyal to a fault. Once he met someone, they were friends for life. He had his two crews, the Braintree boys and the Westfield boys, that always had his back. While he had his own personal fight with cancer, cancer did not define him. He took pride in helping others by supporting them in their own cancer battles.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Michele (Webber) Kelleher, his two adored sons, James (Age 13) and Sean (Age 6), his parents, Kathleen and Richard Bancroft and William and Lynn Kelleher, aunt Trisha Walsh-Hurd and husband Toby, mother and father in law, Suzanne and David Webber; siblings, Christine Childress and husband Jason, Jennifer Spencer and husband John, William "Billy” Kelleher and wife Courtney, Richard Bancroft Jr. and wife Alison and Christine Hubbard and husband David; sister in law, Kelly Cogan and husband Craig and their children Erin and Patrick; as well as numerous extended family and friends. His family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Londonderry for their exceptional care and support.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A brief memorial service followed at 1:00pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund set up for Brian’s children, James and Sean, at St. Mary’s Bank, Brian W. Kelleher Donation Fund, 50 Nashua Road, Londonderry, NH 03053.
