Mark S. Palmer, 62, of Dartmouth, suddenly passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at home. He was the husband of Donna M. (Oliveira) Palmer.
Mr. Palmer was born in New Bedford, son of Mercedes A. (Marcotte) Palmer of Fairhaven and the late Robert E. Palmer, Sr. He had resided in Fairhaven prior to moving to Dartmouth. He worked for many years for Robert Commercial Construction, New Bedford and previously for Pine Tradition, Dartmouth. He enjoyed being outdoors, mountain climbing, camping, hunting, working in the yard and riding his motorcycle.
Survivors along with his wife and mother include his 2 sons: John Furtado, III of New Bedford and Scott Furtado and his wife Krystlina of Marion; 5 sisters: Julia Hayden and her husband Robert, Linda Langis and her husband Michael, Brenda Barrows, Debra Skavron and Leasa Grinnell & her husband Harry Grinnell, Jr.; 4 brothers: Leon Palmer and his wife Norma, David Palmer, Robert Palmer, Jr. and his wife Charlene and Reed Palmer and his wife Irene; 6 grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Potter Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M.-12:30 P.M. immediately followed by a memorial service at 12:30 P.M.
Interment will be private.
