Mary K. (Lane) Hennessey age 85, of Brockton died Thursday October 11, 2018 at Signature Healthcare/Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late John J. Hennessey. Mary was born and raised in Randolph, a daughter of the late John and Lillian (Forrest) Lane and had lived in Brockton for over 50 years.
A 1950 graduate of Stetson High School in Randolph, Mary had worked for many years at New England Telephone and retired in 1998. Mary was devoted to her family and home and especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren.
Mary was a the loving mother of Patrick Hennessey and his wife Kerry of Westwood, Caitlin Quattrucci and her husband John of Raynham, Meagan Hennessey-Costello and her husband Jeffrey of Bridgewater and Michael Hennessey of Brockton. She leaves her five grandchildren, Molly and Mia Quattrucci and Maggie, Maura and Maeve Hennessey. She was the sister of Terry Steele of Brockton, Paula McCarthy of Randolph and the late Barbara Morgan-Sheehan, Peggy Swift and Patricia Harvey.
Visiting hours will be held at the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Monday 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10am followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.
