Obituary

Harvey F. Wyjack, 75, of New Bedford died October 8, 2018 at Sacred Heart Home after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Fay P. (Clark) Wyjack.
Born in Iowa City, Iowa, son of the late John L. and Ruth A. (Fowler) Wyjack, he lived in New Bedford since 1970.
Mr. Wyjack was formerly employed by Alden Corrugated and Smurfit Stone Container for many years until his retirement.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and later served as rescue chief for New Bedford Civil Defense during the 1970's.
Mr. Wyjack enjoyed camping.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy Wyjack and his wife Joan of Blue Springs, MO; a brother, John Wyjack of Missouri; a sister, Willa Dehal of Davenport, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 16th at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Chace Cemetery, Freetown. Visiting hours will be on Monday, October 15th from 4-8 PM.
