WORCESTER___Evelyn M. (Lafond) LaFontaine, 76, of Worcester, died on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in St. Vincent Hospital. She is survived by her daughter, Michele Mac Kenzie; two grandchildren, Zachary and Zander Mac Kenzie; sister, Cecile Douglas, all of Worcester; many nieces and nephews. She was born one of eight daughters to Arthur and Lillian (Grenier) Lafond.
A lifelong Worcester resident, Evelyn was a patient care assistant at St. Vincent Hospital for over forty years before retiring. She was a simple woman with simple values and her family was most important. She was an attentive grandmother and the special care provider to her grandson.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 with a service at 10:30 A.M. in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Sreet. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
