Obituary

Dolores L. Warhall, 82 died on October 4, 2018 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH after complications following a stroke in August. Her beloved husband of 59 years and family members were at her bedside.

A longtime resident of Derry and Londonderry, NH Mrs. Warhall was born in Newport, RI to Armand and Henrietta (Carroll) St. Pierre of Fall River, MA. Dolores grew up in Fall River attending St. Patrick’s Elementary School and Mount St. Mary’s Girls Catholic High School and later received her nursing degree from St. Anne’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1956. After graduation she worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Anne’s Hospital and at Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA. In 1959 Dolores married her high school sweetheart Lawrence F. Warhall of Fall River and worked as a RN at multiple hospitals in the midwest and New York before returning to New England to Derry, NH in 1970. Her nursing career was focused as an emergency room nurse and in obstetrics. In Derry, Mrs. Warhall worked at the Alexander Eastman Hospital as well as the Bon Secours Hospital in Methuen, MA. A serious back problem forced Mrs. Warhall to retire from the nursing career she loved in 1983.

An avid skier, tennis player, golfer and swimmer, Dolores also loved to travel often visiting Aruba, Dunedin, and Hutchinson Island, FL in the winter months as well as farther-flung locales with her husband Larry. Mrs. Warhall always expressed that her most noble contribution in life was raising her family of three sons and one daughter, all of whom she was most proud. In addition, Dolores leaves four grandchildren she cherished and supported as a remarkable grandmother with a flair for style and a warm and generous disposition.

Dolores L. Warhall is survived by her husband, Lawrence F. Warhall of Londonderry, three sons; Lawrence F. Warhall, Jr. and his wife, Amy Hughes of Voorhees, NJ, Mark Warhall and his wife, Mio Olsson of Brooklyn, NY, and Joseph J. Warhall and his wife, Diana Warhall of Spofford, NH, and one daughter, Lynda Warhall and her partner, Wes Rutledge of Manchester, NH. She leaves four grandchildren; Dillon Warhall, Danielle Warhall, Alva Olsson and Samuel Smith. Mrs. Warhall is predeceased by her brother, John St. Pierre of Providence, RI. She is also predeceased by her half-brothers and leaves surviving half-sisters.

Per her wishes, a private funeral ceremony was held at Pillsbury Cemetery in Londonderry on October 6, 2018.
As per Dolores Warhall’s wishes a “Celebration of Life” ceremony will be held on Saturday October 27, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Executive Court, 1199 South Mammoth Rd., Manchester, NH 03109 www.executivecourtbanquet.com (603)-626-4788.
