Vasilika (Zhaka) Lolo, 86 of Worcester, Ma passed away on October 2, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 25, 1932 in Korca, Albania where she resided with her husband and children before migrating to the United States in 1994. Vasilika is predeceased by her parents, loving husband Dhimitraq, beloved daughter Marjeta, and loving brother Nikollaq.
She passed away on the birthday of her predeceased daughter Marjeta, whom we know is waiting for her in heaven with open arms.
Vasilika is survived by her children Theodhor Lolo, Kaliroi Endriko, Tatjana Tanga, Adelina Sanxhaku, Thanas Lolo and Vangjush Lolo and their spouses; her grandchildren, Jorida, Julian, Rebeka, Llazar, Emi, Ira, Iris, Kristjan, Petrika, Dhimitri, Eric, Vasja and Mikel; her great-grandchildren, Arianna, Logan, Alexander, Aleinna, Aiden, Zachary and Brian; her sister-in-law, Natasha Zhaka and her nieces, Anila Gjanci, Monika Durmillari and Ornela Belishta and their families.
Vasilika was loving, sweet, strong, optimistic, opinionated and the glue that held her family together. Vasilika was known for her wit and sense of humor. She never passed up the chance to make a joke or to remind her grandchildren to hold her in special regard as she was the reason they all lived a great life in this great country. She had a flare for life and was very deeply devoted to her family. She spent her life tirelessly caring for her children and grandchildren.
Her funeral is Friday, October 5th with a service at 10:00 AM in St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 34 Gold Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, October 4th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue.
