Philomena I. Angelini, formerly of Dedham, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday.
Lovingly known to family and friends as ‘Phyllis', she was born on September 21, 1928, in Orsara di Puglia, in the province of Foggia, Italy, to the late Michele and Marietta Frisoli. At the age of three, she immigrated to the United States settling in Roxbury. She and her husband Tony moved to Dedham, where they made their home for over 55 years.
Phyllis was a member of the Italian American Club of Roslindale and the Westwood American Legion Auxiliary, Post 2015. She cherished her family and loved vacationing with them in New Hampshire. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed bowling, gardening, the Red Sox, Patriots, traveling, and playing cards.
Beloved wife of 64 years to the late Anthony P. Angelini. Devoted mother of Christina Moschella and her husband Gerry of Norton, Anthony M. Angelini and his wife Cathy of Plymouth, Virginia McCarthy and her husband Michael of Attleboro, Joseph Angelini and his wife Nanci of Reading, Gerry Warren and her husband John of Wrentham, and Paula Raneri and her husband Andrew of Norton. Phyllis was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, with another on the way. Sister of Michael J. (Julio) Frisoli of Stoughton, Attilio (Mike) Frisoli of Easton, Lee Frisoli of Dedham, Maria DiPietro of Vancouver, Washington, and the late Donato (Dan) Frisoli of Waltham. She will be missed by family, friends, and caregivers.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Saturday, Oct. 6 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 420 High St., Dedham at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home Friday, Oct. 5 from 4-8pm. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
